Bruin Democrats & Bruin Republicans Debate, Quarterly
These debates are a perennial favorite of members on both sides and provide a forum for healthy discussion on many important issues to students on campus. The debates are especially powerful in educating students because of the interactive portion of the debate where students in the audience are allowed to ask questions to both sides.

Voter Registration Blitz, Fall Quarter
This effort is focused entirely on registering the young voting population of UCLA to vote in the January election with the help of the Bruin Republicans and CALPIRG. The registration of college-age voters is designed to empower the voice of students in general, and to give students a stronger voice in the public policy debate, enabling a serious consideration of many progressive ideas. |

California Democratic Party State Convention, Spring Quarter
We attend the state convention every year, where we meet and greet our favorite politicians, network with other Democrats from around the state, meet up with the California Young Democrats group (and vote in their yearly elections), and hear great speeches from many prominent Democrats. |

Dukakis Dinner, Winter Quarter
The dinner is a gathering between former presidential candidate Michael Dukakis and the members of the Bruin Democrats. That night, we will go to a local Greek restaurant, and Dukakis will give members of the club a background on his life, his accomplishments, and his thoughts on any number of pertinent current events. |
